From the spring festival to the winter lights, The Ranch plans its year in seasons. This post is the written companion to one of Grant's Orange County Living videos, embedded below, and it maps the community calendar you will want to save.
A calendar that runs on the seasons
Rancho Mission Viejo's RanchLife program fills the year: spring egg hunts and the April Field Festival, Saturday night markets and concerts in June, the fall harvest and pumpkin patch at Esencia, the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot, and the December Holiday Market in Lights. Most events gather at The Pavilion and in the village commons.
Dates shift a little each year, so check the official RanchLife calendar before you plan around any single event. The farmers market is the dependable anchor: first and third Saturday of the month at The Pavilion, rain or shine.
Compare two similar streets on schools and commute before you visit.
